This number is a scintillating, silk-lined, chrome spun lurex, a mid-century fabric with the body-conscious drape of crepe rayon. Inky indigo is shot with silver, creating a sharkskin effect that sparkles, or mattes to black, with every twitch. This week’s vintage dreams include: a 1960s navy & red terrycloth swim wrap, a 1960s Janzten mens crew sweater with a nautical scene, a quail-printed moire tie from the 1930s, an iridescent gleamer of a 1940s day frock, and *my favorite* a mod-era, belt-patterned, brocade miniskirt.
